Our session rates vary by provider and range from $85 to $190.

Do you accept insurance?
We accept HSA/FSA cards and can provide detailed documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, provided you have out-of-network mental or behavioral health benefits.

How long are the therapy sessions?
Each session lasts approximately 45-50 minutes.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes, we offer telehealth for adult sessions and for child sessions when clinically appropriate.

What should I tell my child about play therapy?
You might say, “Sometimes it helps to have a special place to play where you can share and feel safe.”

Is my consent to your services required?
Yes, we require consent from all legal guardians before we begin services.

Will my child meet one-on-one with the therapist?
Yes, when working on individual goals, your child will typically meet one-on-one with the therapist. If the therapeutic goals include family involvement, you may be invited to join your child in the playroom.

Do you offer internships or shadowing opportunities for prospective therapists?
Master’s level mental health or social work students are welcome to email their resume and cover letter to admin@thehealingplayroom.com. Due to confidentiality, we cannot permit shadowing or observation of therapy sessions.

Do you work with teens?
Yes, we work with teens when it aligns with their clinical needs. Please schedule a consultation to determine if our services are a good fit for your teen.
